Daywise Tour Plan

  • Day 1

    Guwahati – Balipara (210 kms / 4 ½ hrs) (suggested early flight)

    Arrive Guwahati by air. On meet our representative at the airport and drive towards Balipara. On arrival check into Wild Masheer – Established by the British Assam Tea Company in 1864 for its supervisors and specialists, it has a blend of colonial and Assamese architecture with high ceilings, sloping roofs, chequered floors, and enclosed verandas. Overnight.

  • Day 2

    Balipara

    After breakfast, we shall visit the tea factory (timing 8 AM – 11 AM) to see the entire processing of Tea. Later go for Tea Tasting session. Afternoon we shall go for walk leisure in the surrounding tea garden. Overnight stay.

  • Day 3

    Balipara – Jorhat (190 kms / 4 ½ hrs)

    This morning we set off towards Jorhat – known as the “Tea capital of the World”. On arrival check into Kaziranga Golf resort/Thengal manor/Banyan Grove. These heritage bungalow’s located amidst lush green tea bushes has been given a facelift to make the stay comfortable for tourists. Overnight.

     

    Jorhat: Nestled on the north eastern part of the state of Assam in India along the tributary of River Brahmaputra, Jorhat is a fantastic tourist destination. With its strategic location, Jorhat serves as the gateway to Upper Assam and Nagaland state. Renowned for its vast expanded tea gardens, it is also referred as the ‘Tea capital of Assam’ and is also an important agricultural town of the state. Moreover, the town is also noted for its beautiful jewelry and is a leading name in the manufacturing of traditional jewelry.

  • Day 4

    Jorhat

    After an early breakfast we shall visit the Cinnamora Tea Estate – Assam’s first tea estate established in the year 1850. You can also visit the near the graveyards of the British Tea planters and burial ground of Maniram Diwan – the first Indian commercial tea planter (currently under maintenance). Later you can visit the Tocklai Tea Research Center – the world’s largest and oldest tea research station established at 1911 (visit will be possible only if permission granted prior to visit). Your lunch today will be organized at Tea Garden. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

  • Day 5

    Jorhat departure

    Transfer to Jorhat airport to board flight for your onward journey.
